Linda Compton, LPC, LADC, founded and incorporated Second Chance And Reentry Services, Inc. (SCARS) as a charitable organization in the State of Oklahoma on April 21, 2009. SCARS received its 501(c)3 letter from the Internal Revenue Service on August 31, 2011 and we began providing services in January 2012.
SCARS provides court-ordered assessments and programs for adolescents and adults. These services include state-certified ADSAC assessments for alcohol- or drug-related arrests, ADSAC Courses or “DUI Schools”, Anger Management classes, and the state-certified 52-week Batterer’s Intervention Program.
We offer three types of parenting classes that are evidence-based and specific to the ages of your children. In addition, each month we provide the court-approved Co-Parenting Through Divorce seminar.
SCARS also offers psychotherapy and counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Our therapists are Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADC) and they can help you navigate and overcome the obstacles in your life.
Our purposeful acronym, SCARS, helps bring attention to the physical and emotional scars endured by each individual, couple, or family who suffer from the consequences of substance abuse, mental illness, domestic violence, poor life management skills, or abusive, neglectful, or ineffective parenting.
“To heal the scars of addiction and crime by providing a structured yet supportive atmosphere that helps to build a therapeutic relationship with each client in order to initiate and nurture their willingness to change.”
